Hudson-Saint-Lazare-Rigaud-Vaudreuil-Dorion area.
It is a network of volunteers who either phone in, e-mail or text message current gas prices. The concept was inspired by such sites as gasbuddy.com & essencequebec.com who do a great job of posting ever changing fuel prices, but don’t seem to get much current info from our area. Their sites are however worth a visit as they have a wealth of information related to the petroleum industry. It was observed that one gas outlet in this area in late January 2009 raised their Reg. gas price by 19% overnight. Makes you think! It's important to be able find the service station with the lowest priced fuel and support them. This sends a signal to the majors & helps keep the pricing lower.
